The best booking apps for salons in Croatia (2026)
Marko Pejićfounder of Tajming
If you run a salon, barbershop or nail studio in Croatia and you are shopping for a booking app, the 2026 lineup is genuinely decent: two or three serious domestic tools, regional players and global platforms. The bad news is that the differences are not visible in the ads; they live in the fine print.
Before we start, the disclosure I make every time: I am Marko, the author of Tajming, one of the tools on this list. I will not pretend to be neutral. But I describe every tool here by what it genuinely does well, because I would rather you pick the right tool for you than pick the wrong one and leave disappointed.
What is an appointment booking app?
An appointment booking app gives a salon, barbershop or studio an online calendar and a public page where clients book free slots themselves, at any hour, without calls or messages. Better ones also send confirmations and reminders, keep a client database and track no-shows.
How to choose at all
Five questions that separate these tools better than any ad:
What is the total cost? Not just the subscription: add per-SMS charges, payment fees, percentages on new clients. Some "cheap" tools add up to expensive.
Does the client have to install an app? Some platforms require your client to download their app and create an account. Others work as a plain link in the browser. For older clients that is the difference between "just tap" and phoning you.
Who owns the client relationship? On marketplaces your salon stands next to the competition and the client remembers the platform, not you. On your own page, the client remembers you.
What are the reminders like? A reminder the day before visibly reduces no-shows. It also matters whether each message is billed separately.
What is the support and the exit like? Does a real person answer, and can you export your data if you leave.
Tajming: for salons that want their own page, with no commission
Starting with mine, with full transparency.
Tajming is deliberately simple: your own branded booking page (your logo, your color, your link), clients book from the browser with no app and no account, and every booking lands as a notification on your phone even when the app is closed. Each worker sees their own schedule on their own device and gets only their own alerts, and you can turn on approval mode so bookings wait for your yes. E-mail confirmations on all plans, an automatic reminder the day before on the Pro plan, all included, nothing billed per message. Fully bilingual, Croatian and English.
Price: Basic 14 €/mo, Pro 24 €/mo, free 30-day trial. No commission on anything. The price you join at stays yours.
Does not have: SMS reminders, a fiscal cash register, a marketplace bringing new clients.
Best for: small and mid-size salons that already have clients and want them to book themselves, on a page that belongs to the salon, with one predictable bill and same-day support.
Zoyya: all-in-one for bigger salons
The best-known domestic system and the broadest in features: alongside the calendar and booking it offers a fiscal cash register, e-invoices, card payments, gift vouchers, a loyalty program and group appointments. It also has a consumer app through which new clients can find you.
Price (at the time of writing): a free plan for 1 employee; Business 22 €/mo (billed annually) for up to 10 employees; Advanced 40 €/mo for the register, cards and loyalty. SMS reminders are billed at 0.14 € + VAT per message, cards carry a 0.5% fee.
Budget for: adding up the subscription, SMS messages and percentages; a marketplace where your clients also see other salons.
Best for: bigger salons that need a register and payments in the same tool and will genuinely use the higher tier. More detail: Tajming vs Zoyya.
Buker: a free start with a marketplace
A domestic app that presents itself as free forever: unlimited employees, services and bookings, SMS and e-mail reminders, even an offline mode. Booking runs through their consumer app, where the client has an account and also sees the other salons.
Price: free.
Budget for: a model where your salon is part of their platform and their brand; the client installs their app and the relationship runs through it; with no price list there is also no guarantee the terms stay the same.
Best for: shops where zero cost is decisive and booking through someone else's app is acceptable. More detail: Tajming vs Buker.
Fresha: the global platform with a marketplace and cards
The biggest global name in the category. A powerful marketplace, built-in card payments, tools for larger multi-location businesses.
Price (at the time of writing): a subscription in US dollars, plus a 20% commission on new clients arriving through the marketplace, plus card processing fees. The free plan was discontinued.
Budget for: a commission that hands a fifth of a new client's first visit to the platform, and prices that depend on the dollar exchange rate.
Best for: bigger salons where the marketplace and card payments in one tool justify the cost. More detail: Tajming vs Fresha.
SrediMe: the regional discovery marketplace
A regional salon marketplace (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro) with an audience that actively searches and compares salons. If you are new and have no client base, being in front of that audience has real value.
Budget for: a profile that looks like every other, competitors directly below your name, and a cost that is not clearly published.
Best for: new salons whose biggest problem right now is discovery. A marketplace and your own page can coexist. More detail: Tajming vs SrediMe.
Lime Booking: SMS reminders and the region
The tool most similar to Tajming: a flat price, no commission, no marketplace. Its strong points are SMS notifications in the higher tier and Slovenian coverage.
Price (at the time of writing): the entry plan around 14.90 €/mo, SMS features closer to 29.90 €/mo.
Best for: salons where SMS reminders are decisive or that also operate in Slovenia. More detail: Tajming vs Lime Booking.
What about WhatsApp and paper?
A perfectly legitimate zero option while the business is small. The problems start when you lose track of who booked what, when messages arrive at half past ten at night, and when you realize nobody gets a reminder. I wrote a separate post on where WhatsApp breaks: WhatsApp vs online booking.
The comparison at a glance
All six options in one view (data at the time of writing, July 2026):

| Tajming | 14 or 24 € (30 days free) | None | E-mail included (24h on Pro) | No | No |
| Zoyya | 0 to 40 € (billed annually) | 0.5% on cards | SMS 0.14 € + VAT per message | For the marketplace, yes | Yes |
| Buker | Free | None | SMS and e-mail | Yes | Yes |
| Fresha | Subscription in USD | 20% on new clients | n/a | Not necessarily | Yes |
| SrediMe | Not publicly listed | n/a | n/a | Via the platform | Yes |
| Lime Booking | Around 14.90 to 29.90 € | None | SMS in the higher tier | No | No |
A recommendation for each situation
Just opening and every euro matters: Buker (free) or SrediMe (discovery).
You need a fiscal register in the same tool: Zoyya.
Marketplace plus card payments, larger business: Fresha.
SMS reminders are decisive: Lime Booking or Zoyya.
You have clients and want your own page, a predictable bill and a calmer day: Tajming. I am biased here, but here is where I am also most useful: the trial is free for 30 days, setup takes five minutes, and if it does not click, export your data and leave, no hard feelings.
