Tajming vs Buker: why would anyone pay when Buker is free?
Marko Pejićfounder of Tajming
Let us clear up the most important thing first: Buker is free and Tajming costs 14 euros a month. If you finish this post and conclude Buker makes more sense for you, that is a perfectly legitimate choice and you will not offend me.
And the second thing: I am not neutral. I am Marko, Tajming is my product. I write honestly because it is the only approach that works long-term, but verify everything I claim anyway.
Where Buker is good
The price, obviously. Buker presents itself as free forever, with unlimited employees, services and bookings. For a shop where every euro matters, that is a serious argument and I will not belittle it.
SMS reminders. According to their pages, Buker sends automatic SMS and e-mail reminders to clients. An SMS reaches even people who never read e-mail.
Works offline. Their business app has an offline mode, so you can see your schedule even when the connection stutters. Handy.
A domestic product with a marketplace. Buker has a consumer app where people look for salons nearby and book. New visibility without a paid ad.
The question worth asking about free
I am not asking it to insinuate anything; I ask it about every tool I use myself: maintaining a serious app costs money, so where does the value come from when the user does not pay?
With platforms that have a consumer app, the answer is usually the same: the value is that booking runs through their app, their brand and their user base. Your client installs Buker, creates an account with them, and in the same app where they book with you they also browse the other salons in the neighborhood. You get a calendar; they get the relationship with your client.
That is not a scam and I am not claiming it is. But it is a model where your salon is content on someone else's platform. And one practical point: when you do not pay, there is also no price list protecting you. The model can change tomorrow, and you do not get a vote.
What Tajming does differently
Clients install nothing. This is the biggest practical difference. Tajming booking is a plain link: the client opens it in a browser like a web page, picks a service and a time, types a name and number, done. No app, no account, no password. A grandmother booking her perm gets through it without phoning you.
Your page, your brand. The booking page carries your name, logo and brand color, on your link (tajming.app/book/your-salon). Google indexes it as yours, so it doubles as a small website. No other salon is ever shown next to it.
Notifications and control. Every booking lands as a notification on your phone, even with the app closed. Multiple workers? Each sees their own schedule on their own device and gets only their own alerts. Want to approve bookings before they are confirmed? Turn it on and requests wait for your yes.
Reminders included in the price. E-mail confirmations on every plan, an automatic reminder the day before the appointment on the Pro plan. Nothing billed per message.
The exit is always open. One click exports all your data to CSV. And the price you joined at stays yours even if I ever change the price list.
Support is a real person. From Osijek, same-day replies, Croatian or English.
To be equally honest about Tajming: it has no SMS reminders, no offline mode, and no marketplace that might bring you a new client. If any of that is decisive, Buker is the better pick.
The comparison at a glance
Before deciding, everything in one view (data at the time of writing, July 2026):
| Criterion | Tajming | Buker |
|---|---|---|
| Price | 14 € per month after a 30-day trial | Free |
| Client installs an app and account | No, a plain browser link | Yes, their app |
| Your own branded page | Yes, your logo and colors | A profile inside their app |
| Marketplace shows other salons too | No | Yes |
| SMS reminders | No (e-mail included) | Yes |
| Data export and a locked price | Yes | No price list, no guarantees |
So which one should you pick
Pick Buker if zero cost is the only criterion, you want SMS reminders without a bill, and you are counting on their marketplace to connect you with new clients. For a shop that is just starting out and counting every euro, that is a reasonable starting point.
Pick Tajming if you want booking to be yours: your page, your brand, clients who install nothing and never see a competitor next to your name. The price is 14 euros a month after a free 30-day trial, roughly one haircut. For that amount you also get a person who replies the same day when something goes wrong.
If the second description sounds closer to you, the trial costs nothing and setup takes five minutes. If it does not click, export your data and leave.
